This work was created spontaneously while printing out self-portrait photographs originally made with the intention of using as body models for charcoal sketches. The images printed onto common thin semi-translucent computer paper were uninentionally placed on a desktop lightbox revealing the layers underneath and their different forms of body shapes resulting in a randomly superimposed image.

This fabric and lighting sculpture was unintentionally created while experimenting with draping different fabrics over a work-in-progress lighting design. The sheer and semi-translucent fabric used appeared white when viewed by itself and in only single layers. Upon folding the fabric back and forth over itself and the lighting frame 15 or 20 times the cloth began to show light hues of purple and lavender that got darker with each additional fold.
This photograph was taken in my home-trailer in East Los Angeles in 2023.

"Our bodies are temporary vessels for our life-beings. Consciousness uses our w a r m f l e s h like we would use a bicycle to get from one part of the city to another . We must protect the castle ( metaphorical body ) while realizing that it is a * t e m p o r a r y * dwelling space.
The only constant in life is change. The only guarantee of our dwelling is that it will change. Do not be afraid of this.
Acceptance is a vital step to harnessing the power of change. Seek growth like a dry sponge and it will ease the process."
